Yesterday my colleague Vivek took me to Elham's monthly gathering at Al Barak Gallery, Adliya and introduced me to this creative and intellectual community of Bahrain. This was my first time though I am in Bahrain for quite sometime.
The session started guitar and singing by a member for his own songs, followed by couple of photographers displaying their works, a Thai writer reading out his first English short story and paintings by three young Bahraini women. These young beautiful ladies also displayed their talent in poem writing, demonstrating their interest for literature and imagination to match their painting with the words.
It followed by a open session of questions to the participants of the evening.
The organizers did a great job in organizing this event. I congratulate the Elham forum, the organizers and their members to keep this artistic interest in Bahrain on, and for creating a platform for art lovers to share their works and exchange their views.
